A BodPod test, also known as a body composition test, uses a computerized, egg-shaped device to measure body volume and weight to calculate body density and percentage of body fat. The test uses air displacement plethysmography (ADP) to measure body volume by calculating how much air is displaced when a person sits inside the chamber. Studies show that BodPod tests are accurate and reliable, and correlate well with underwater weighing.
